From Matter to Design“ started off a series of initiatives organised by EMU and dedicated both to architects and designers and to the world of culture and art. The aim will be to focus on the identity of a leading Made in Italy company and historical protagonist in the introduction of design in the outdoor sector. This first meeting saw Giulio Iacchetti and Christophe Pillet in dialogue about the transformation of the metal material into furniture elements that become part of our living. A rich contamination of ideas, an interweaving of experiences that has ranged from creativity to production. Giulio Iacchetti, an expert in industrial design, addressed the importance that metalworking has had for our culture, while Christophe Pillet testified to his creative experience alongside EMU, explaining what it means for him to work on the design and planning of an object in which the metal core is the very heart of the execution.
Thanks to its know-how in working with metal, a 100% recyclable material, EMU has always distinguished itself as a manufacturer of high-quality, entirely Made in Italy outdoor furniture, capable of enhancing every residential and contract style and environment. A point of reference for design professionals, EMU is constantly engaged in technological research to create sustainable and design-led collections. A uniqueness of expertise that makes it a reliable partner for the community sector.
„From Matter to Design“ was held on Thursday 30 November, at 5.30 p.m., at EMU, Corso Monforte 50, Milan. A space, the one in Milan, of over 500 square metres in which to discover the vast range of furnishings for the dining, living and relaxation areas, equipped with a Materioteca, a veritable exhibition archive, which offers customers, architects and designers the opportunity to touch materials, fabrics and colours and appreciate their different characteristics.
