From June 6, the brand new EMU Monomarca opens its doors in the heart of Milan in Corso Monforte 50, in partnership with Interni Design Experience. A project by LCM Marin Design Studio, an inspirational space in which to discover the wide range of EMU outdoor furniture, transversal, sustainable, multi-material, high quality and comfort collections, perfect for any dining, living and relax environment.

At the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile, EMU presents its novelties for 2023, as a result of new natural and sustainable multi-material experiments.
TWINS is the protagonist of this edition, a collection with a strong identity and the result of the perfect blend between the EMU know-how and the designer SEBASTIAN HERKNER’s skills. It embodies two twin versions: one is totally in teak, while the other one is an interesting material-mix between pure wood and one of the main components of EMU products: the aluminum.
Also as a preview, the new TERRA!!! by LCM MARIN design studio, a generously sized folding armchair, which can move from seaside to land, from indoor to outdoor environments and vice versa.
Finally, CAMALEON, design ANDREUCCI & HOISL, a multifunctional and customizable modular system, with which to create many compositions for living and dining areas.

The 65th edition of the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi will take place from 24 June to 10 July 2022. It is about the oldest performing arts, internationally renowned, festival in Italy, which connects Music, Opera, Dance, Theater and Art thanks to the creativity of the best artists and the best companies in Europe. A precious opportunity to to get back dialoguing with the territory, transforming the city into a stage and creating new meeting opportunities. This edition also marks the return of the prestigious partnership with EMU, a bond constantly nurtured by shared values and a passionate pursuit of excellence, in both art and furniture.

Again this year, EMU confirms its presence as the Official Sponsor of the Internazionali BNL of Italy, the most important Italian female and male tennis tournament, scheduled from 2 to 15 May 2022 at the Foro Italico in Rome. As per a ten-year tradition, EMU will furnish the official competition chairs reserved to line umpires. This year the Shine armchair will be the protagonist on the pitch. Many other EMU collections will furnish the relaxation area, reserved to players, and the hospitality area. An important and long-lasting partnership, which confirms EMU’s constant commitment to promoting sporting events that also contribute to the growth of young talents.

The new season of the Fineco Golf Club will include lots of appointments for 2022. From April to October thousands of players will play in the most beautiful and prestigious golf courses in Italy. EMU is Partner of Homo Faber, the international cultural event dedicated to contemporary high quality craftsmanship, organized by the Michelangelo Foundation, in partnership with the Giorgio Cini Foundation, the Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte Foundation, the Japan Foundation and the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation. 15 exhibitions, 22 curators and designers, 12 living Japanese national treasures, over 400 unique objects, made by over 350 designers and craftsmen, from over 30 countries. As usual, the event will take place on Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice from 10 April to 1 May 2022. Its purpose is to promote craftsmanship, its link with the world of design, celebrate human talent and contribute to guaranteeing a brighter future for art masters, highlighting the key role of craftsmanship in creating a more sustainable and inclusive future. This edition celebrates the « living treasures » of craftsmanship through 15 exceptional exhibitions that invite visitors to discover the connection between Europe and Japan. Among the scheduled exhibitions we find name like Rinko Kawauchi, Tokugo Uchida, Sebastian Herkner, Michele De Lucchi, Jean Blanchaert with Stefano Boeri Interiors and Robert Wilson, Zanellato/Bortotto studio. On this occasion, EMU will furnish the common areas, which will represent the only elements of relaxation while visiting pavilions.

EMU confirms for 2022 its partnership with the Golf Ceo Club circuit, a club born from the desire to combine the passion for business and golf, both synonymous with movement, growth and continuous challenges. The business takes the field in the most beautiful golf clubs in Italy. These competitions are reserved for golfers and businessmen who interpret life with creativity and love the challenge on the green. 7 stages of true golf are scheduled in excellent golfing locations on the national territory.

EMU will be part of the « Elements of Nature » section, conceived by Elizabeth Leriche for Maison & Objet, in Paris from 24 to 28 March 2022. This dreamlike, mineral and stimulating staging offers a unique sensory escape that makes you discover three contexts, paying homage to the different forms that nature can take: contemplative, essential and sculptural. A mixture of lightness and creativity in which the staged objects allow us to deeply reconnect ourselves with authentic nature. An unparalleled invitation to travel, which EMU will interpret by exhibiting Heaven lounge chair, a product that perfectly embodies the main themes of the section: water, air, transparency and fluidity.

The « Leave Design » charity auction, conducted by Christie’s in favor of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italy and organized with the support of INTERNI and its director Gilda Bojardi, will take place at IBM Studios in Piazza Gae Aulenti on November 19, during the RFK Human Rights Italia Gala & Award 2021. The event this year will see the excellence of Made in Italy design engaged in a moment of sharing values and vision of the future. EMU generously donated the sculpture Ficus, design Chiaramonte-Marin, lot 26, which will be auctioned by Cristiano De Lorenzo, Managing Director Christie’s Italy, afore Kerry Kennedy, seventh daughter of Robert Kennedy and president of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights association.

On Tuesday 23 November, The St. Regis Rome Hotel will host the twelfth edition of the Pink Tie Ball for an evening of solidarity dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. During the Gala, guests will have the opportunity to express their generous support for the cause by participating in the Solidarity Shopping that Komen Italia carries out thanks to the precious contribution of its partners. EMU, always in support of scientific research, donated for the occasion the armchair and the pouf from the Re-trouvé collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola.
